S for the Stamina of Shu: Using Shu's endurance, Black Adam can withstand and survive most types of extreme physical assaults. additionally, he does not need to eat or breathe and can survive unaided in space.
H for the Swiftness of Heru: By channeling Heru's speed, Black Adam, on earth can fly and move at speeds in excess of Mach 10 (2 miles a second) and at the speed of light in space. While not as fast as the Flash, he has been shown easily running at a speed of over Mach 500.
- Superhuman Speed
- Flight
A for the Strength of Amon: Black Adam has a phenomenal level of super strength that enables him to lift 100,000 tons effortlessly, he can effortlessly bend steel, punch through walls and lift massive objects. Adam's strength is enough that he can easily defeat beings such as Captain Marvel. Black Adam is numerously referred to as the strongest metahuman on Earth. Black Adam has on more than one occasion held his own against the entire JSA. He has once fought and defeated the Great Ten, and even the entire Marvel Family( which was composed of Captain Marvel, Mary Marvel and Captain Marvel jr ). He has held his own against a group of superheroes composed of the JSA, Doom Patrol, JLA, and Teen Titans and even they couldn't seem to be able to stop him.
- Superhuman Strength: Godly flesh and bone is about three times as dense as similar human tissue, contributing to the Olympians' superhuman strength and weight.

A for the Power of Aton: Besides fueling the magic thunderbolt that transforms Adam, it also enhances Adam's other physical abilities and allows for inter-dimensional travel. Adam can use the lightning bolt as a weapon by dodging it and allowing it to strike an opponent or target. He can channel the Power of Aton and the other Gods to increase the power of his attacks to God like levels, whilst doing this he has hurt the likes of Spectre himself. He rarely resorts to this.
- Inter-dimensional Travel: This can only be used to travel to the Rock of Eternity.
- Mystical Transformation
- Physical Enhancement
- Spell Source
- Advanced Healing
M for the Courage of Mehen: This aspect is partly psychological, and gives Adam superhuman amounts of inner strength to draw off of, while also making him indestructible and practically invulnerable to conventional physical injury like the great snake itself.
- Superhuman Inner Strength: He is always supported by an innate and harmonious presence of good will and strength of perseverance that he never backs down from a challenge.
- Invulnerability: If he were somehow wounded, his godly energies would enable him to recover instantly. It would take an injury of such magnitude that it dispersed a major portion of his bodily molecules to cause him a physical death. Even then, it might be possible for a god of significant power, such as Ra, Anubis and Osiris or for a number of Egyptian gods of equal power working together to revive him.
The Power of Isis: He has recently acquired the Power of the Goddess Isis. When Black Adam utters the magic word he not only gains his usual powers but all of his original powers are greater in strength because of the extra power he gains from Isis. The Power of Isis also grants him:
- Nature Control
- Telekinesis
Weakness:
Magic Vulnerability: Only significant magic can affect him, such as the mystical abilities of the Spectre and Doctor Fate.
Lightning: Not all lightning is a weakness, but living lightning, such as the kind wielded by Captain Marvel, and powerful mystical forms of lightning can cause Adam to revert back to his mortal form.
Vocal Transformation: The spell that turns him into Black Adam seems to be solely vocal; he cannot access this spell if he is gagged or hampered in some way from talking
Override: It is known that certain gods of sufficient power can manipulate Shazam's spell and render Black Adam back to the human form of Teth-Adam once more.
Personality: Black Adam is known to be arrogant and highly ambitious with a very skewed moral compass. He's not necessarily the cruelest of villains, preferring to worry about his kingdom and it's inhabitants over bothering with anything outside of Khandaq. However, he's far from what one could consider a hero, even in the moments he aided the good side.
Loyal
He's an incredibly loyal and devoted man, despite what it might seem. However, that loyalty and devotion only extend to the people of Khandaq and those personally close to him; which is an admittedly short list. However, when he does grow close with someone, he will quite literally kill for them. He murdered the man who killed his friend's mother.
Vicious
This is an incredible understatement. Black Adam has no problem with killing and doing so in the most vicious manner possible. He literally tore a man in half and shoved another's mask straight through his skull. He's known for putting his hand through people's chests and ripping out hearts with his bare hands. He's also crushed someone's head with his hands. He is incredibly vindictive. Cross him and he'll go out of his way to kill you and that which you hold dear.
Ends Justifying the Means
He fully believes that if the end result is good, then the means of getting there is worth it, no matter the body count.
Anger Issues
To say he has anger issues is putting it lightly. After finding his wife and brother-in-law murdered, Black Adam went on a rampage that killed millions of people, several superheroes, and required the Justice League, the Justice Society, the China Ten, Doom Patrol, and Teen Titans just to handle him, and even then it was a tough fight. When he gets upset, he goes berserk. No one is safe from his wrath, not even innocent civilians like children.
Three likes:
Ensuring his people are safe and happy
Being in control
His wife, Isis
Three dislikes:
Slavers
Threats to Khandaq
Being tricked
Brief history: Teth-Adam was born somewhere in 1200 BC to the Pharoah Ramses II. As the Wizard Shazam, high priest to the pharaoh, grew older, he sought a champion worthy to inherit his powers. The young prince Teth-Adam of Kahndaq impressed the wizard with his fairness and decency. But before Shazam could bestow his powers, his daughter Blaze made a deal with the god Set. When Teth-Adam spoke the name "Shazam," instead of gaining the wizard's powers, he was blessed with the power of six Egyptian gods: Shu, Heru, Amon, Zehuti, Aton and Mehen. Although Adam speaks the name "Shazam," he does not draw power from the wizard. Teth-Adam served Egypt for many years as a successful hero, but this duty often drew him away from his wife, Shiruta, and his sons Gon and Hurut in Kahndaq.
Centuries later, Adam's home was destroyed and his family killed by the evil priest Ahk-Ton using the Orb of Ra. He worked alongside Prince Khufu, later known as Hawkman, and Nabu, also known as Doctor Fate, in those times. He returned to Khandaq and forcefully overthrew the current rulers. Over the years, he was imprisoned by the Wizard Shazam and Captain Marvel in a tomb. Eventually, he was freed by the Batsons and their assistant, Theo Adam. The Batsons were betrayed and murdered by Theo, who turned out to be one of Teth's descendants.
In his time since his release, he's joined multiple teams, including the Justice Society of America as well as the Injustice Society. He's overturned the government in Khandaq once more and claimed his place as their ruler. Adam is also responsible for causing World War III, which would more appropriately be 'The World versus Black Adam', after he killed the entire population of the country Bialya, which would be over two million people after finding his wife and brother-in-law murdered.
He continued his rampage through Egypt before going on to Australia and in Italy and finally flew to attack China. There the combined forces of the China Ten, the Justice Society, the Justice League, the Teen Titans, the Doom Patrol, and other heroes, attempted to stop him. That, though, proved futile as an enraged Black Adam defeated them one by one. They finally managed to subdue him by summoning the Shazam lightning and turning him back into a mortal. Billy, with the aid of Zatanna, then used their powers to change the word from Shazam to another word to leave Black Adam depowered and helpless. He eventually got his powers back after coincidentally saying the new word of power, which was 'chocolate egg cream'. He's aided and been aided by Sinestro on several occasions, as well as Atom Smasher. Adam tends to stay near Khandaq, though he has been known to travel to other places, should he feel a threat to his people's safety resides there. He will also travel to other places to visit old friends or hunt down those that slighted him.
