now we go until they kick us out | [attr="class","walkpost"] [attr="class","linescr"]It was a warm night is Coast City and Kayli was taking full advantage of it. She adjusted her necklace while she sat at a bar stool, scoping out the club she chose to spend her night out. No one seemed to catch her eyes and that was okay with the female.
She stood up and went over to the dance floor, grinning the whole way. She planned on getting wasted tonight, maybe even smash someone hot and so far the night was still young. Her plans may succeed after all.
Dancing around with a few strangers, she only had to send on glare at a man who got too handsy for her tastes. He wasn't even that good looking in her opinion, but she eventually grew tired of all the people she deemed 'not attractive enough sober' and went back to the bar, taking a seat near the end where almost no one was.
Ordering a drink, she messed with her phone and only looked up when the bartender gave her the drink. "Hey, open a tab for me will ya?" she asked, sipping the strawberry daiquiri. A girl's got to have some class dressed in what she's wearing.
So far the blonde was having fun, though something else might help kick start the night in her opinion. She was debating on seeing if she could test her luck with how many drinks she can get a guy to buy her.

Bars were not normally a place that was one of the preferences of Cameron to frequent. In the past he had preferred places that sold smoothies. However, as he was trying to distance himself from his old identity, as far as he could, a change had been in order. It was one of the reasons he had come to the bar. Clad in a black and blue biker type outfit, he'd go down to one of the chairs, near the actual bar, and sit down near it. Once he had, he'd look around the place. There was no impending crime, or at least he hoped there wasn't, as he was mentally exhausted. The life of a hero was one that required certain sacrifices.
IE, Cameron had been up all of last night practically because several arms dealers in Coast City had apparently gotten possession of alien ray guns that could do a lot of property damage. Chasing down every crook who had one of those had not been the easiest and most beneficial task. Still he had saved the city from having to deal with that problem.
"Dang it," said Cameron, as he sat down near Kayli. He looked like he was dead on his feet.

now we go until they kick us out | [attr="class","walkpost"] [attr="class","linescr"]Humming a small tune, Kayli heard someone mumbled something and sit near her. Turning in her seat, making sure her shirt didn't reveal anything more, she spied a male, younger than her, who looked like he had a rough day.
Smiling, she tilted her drink in the male's direction. "Rough day or just trying to forget something?" She took a sip of her drink and flashed a wink at the male. "Personally I'm here to have fun" she said, waving the bartender over.
"Get him something, start easy" she said and the bartender nodded, grabbing something and sliding a drink over to the male. "Thanks Jade, you're a doll." Kayli winked and Jade sighed, "I don't flirt with patrons." After that, Jade walked away and left Kayli rolling her eyes.
"She's a bit of a hard ass, but she's got a nice ass" she said, loud enough that Jade could hear, and she slipped Kayli off. The blond smiled and looked at the male once more. "She's a good friend, don't let her fool you."

"A rough day, more like a rough night. Was up all last night, preventing things from getting out of hand." This was the truth, but was also a bit vague. Of course he didn't want her to know that he was a hero. There was one of the mistakes he was working on not repeating. Any connections between his civilian and hero identities had to be minimized. Unlike last time there were going to be no mistakes like the ones he had made. One of them was that he had allowed others to draw close to him. Such a mistake now, could prove to be fatal in the long run for him, if he were to be honest. Evil never slept, and the righteous didn't need rest apparently because evil never slept. Cameron regretted that he had said that to her, but there was no way he could take his words back.
"Trying to forget about my past, and try something new. This is my first time in a bar. Your humming was quite good...." said Cameron, drowsily.

Kayli nodded, she didn't usually have rough nights at the clubs, but sometimes people just wouldn't listen to her. Maybe this guy was a bouncer as well?
"Trying to forget about my past, and try something new. This is my first time in a bar. Your humming was quite good...." Kayli grinned when he said this was his first bar. "How old are you? You look like you're old enough to party. Not really the type of guy?" she asked, setting her drink down.
This guy might just be like her brother, the one to sit inside and read books of all things on a Saturday. "I'm Kayli by the way," she introduced herself with a small wave of her hand. She figured she may as well introduce herself to him, after all, they were talking. It'd just be rude not to.
"You want anything to drink?" the blonde asked, shifting in her seat. Who knows, maybe what this guy needed was a drink, he did seem to want to loosen up. A drink might be the perfect solution to his problem right now.

Kayli seemed nice enough and hopefully hadn't drawn the conclusion that he was a hero, from what he had said. At least, it didn't appear that she had drawn that conclusion. One of the mistakes Cameron had made when he had his previous identity was that both of his lives had mixed when he was a hero. This was a mistake that he was not going to allow himself to repeat here, in any way, shape or form whatsoever. On the other hand however, Kayli was certainly lovely from what Cameron could tell. Sure she didn't look like Julie, but reminded him of Kara in a way, or of Eunice. Eunice. Now that name brought back memories that made him feel bad. He had failed his home dimension, but it was his hope new heroes would emerge there to keep the universe safe from harm.
Heroes were needed both here, and there. Even though he had wanted to hang up the jacket, and never be a hero again, Cameron had made up his mind recently, he was going to be a hero. Sadly he had no choice on the matter, because of how many criminals there were in this dimension. It put his to shame. Alcohol might help him calm his tattered nerves, Cameron realized and he did need something to help him blend in here, so he could learn more about this world. Her offer, thus was one that he should accept.
"19 now. And I really have never had time to party, as something always comes up. I'm Cameron Dolos, Kayli. And a drink sounds good, just nothing that can get me fully drunk. Have to drive a motorcycle home."
This was true. It seemed every time he tried to relax, some villain, super or not decided to show up and ruin it. For the sake of any villains out there, Cameron really hoped they didn't try anything here today, or he wouldn't hold back. Sure Kara might be disappointed, but Cameron wasn't about to let innocents get murdered by some would be evil overlord type. In fact he should so something about ones like that.
